Kimono Piece

I have been working with a client to transform a damaged kimono into a bespoke piece. They did not wear the kimono anymore but the garment was a special reminder of their travels to Japan.

We had a meeting to look at the patterns and colours on the silk fabric and choose yarns for the woven piece. I then further analysed the fabric pattern to make a decision on weave structure and design.
